His Holiness the Dalai Lama Visited the Tibetan Cultural Center - July 25-27, 1996

 His Holiness at the Tibetan Cultural Center Pavilion.

His Holiness the Dalai Lama made his second Bloomington visit from July 25 to July 27 to consecrate the Chamtse Ling, an International Buddhist Temple and Monks' Residence. In addition to laying the cornerstone of the temple, His Holiness gave a Teaching and performed the ritual for Aspirational Bodhicitta at the Tibetan Cultural Center on Saturday morning, July 27. On Friday evening, July 26, he delivered a public talk at Indiana University. The title of his address was "Overcoming Differences."

On Thursday evening, July 25, His Holiness was the guest of honor at a Benefit Reception for the Chamtse Ling. Steven Seagal, the well-known actor, hosted this event.

A Warm Welcome to His Holiness from Takster Rinpoche
